Seed bombing is such a cool contradiction of terms. I picture spy like characters sauntering past vacant lots and inadvertently throwing the bombs over the fence, and then see stop-frame action til there is a coloured, rich garden there in just no time at all.
These little garden gnomes are a cute way to offset campaigns. A more tangible way to do carbon off-setting.

Cannes-Do
Congrats to Meerkats for getting TWO nominations at Cannes this year. Really proud of the team and almost can't quite believe that our work plays with the big boys.
Fantastic to see Australia get so many nominations. Can't wait to sit down and have a good, deep look at the stuff coming out of France this year, with a nice cup of pirate tea and some lemon pound cake.
ROOOOAAAAARRRR!!!!!!

'Rules' of social media
Lon Safko on Fast Company has written a 10 commandements of social media. This sort of gaff can irritate me. First of all, it should really be about ENGAGEMENT. I don't believe Social media needs it's own set of rules, I think if you look at the fundamentals of communication - engage, entertain, offer useful and meaningful content, then you can't go wrong. This 'blog often, upload often, comment often' to me smacks of the attitudes of post-modern media buyers who would bombard audiences with messages, and call it success.
We are becoming expert sifters - and irrelevant blog/messsages/videos/contents/photos/tweets not only stops the useful stuff getting done, it propogates more and more and more clutter. Note the rise in people who are culling Facebook friends....
